CYS is overseen by a Youth Group Council, a Core Advisory Council and a nominated Board of Governors, who is appointed by a Board of Trustees. The board consists of senior public, private, and people sector figures who work alongside the council to ensure good governance and fiduciary responsibility. On a day-to-day basis, the organisation is run by independent youth volunteers who are occasionally joined by trainees and interns.

Janet is the Chairman of the Management Board of NUS-ISS, the Chairman of SISTIC.com Pte Ltd and an Independent Director of the Board the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).
She also serves as Chairman of the Public Transport Council and the Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governance. She is also the Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation Foundation, an independent Director of Swire Shipping Pte Ltd and Philanthropy Asia Alliance, as well as Member of the Board of The Esplanade Company Ltd, the Home Team Science & Technology Agency, the Tanoto Foundation and the Cenacle Mission (Singapore).
Janet serves on the Council for Board Diversity and is a Senior Advisor of the RGE Group, Fellow of the Singapore Computer Society, Fellow of Singapore Institute of Directors and a Member of the International Women’s Forum (Singapore). She was a former member of NUS Alumni Advisory Board (2012-2022).
Janet is Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Holy See and a former Nominated MP of the Parliament of Singapore.
She had a thirty-seven year career in the information technology industry and had lived and worked in Japan and China over a span of eleven years. She was Managing Director of IBM Singapore from 2001 to 2003 and again from 2011-2015. Janet was a member of the IBM Industry Academy. Her last executive role was as IBM Vice President, Industry Solutions, IBM Asia Pacific.
Ms Ang was awarded The Public Service Medal in 2019. She was also awarded the Singapore Computer Society IT Leaders Award – Hall of Fame in 2018, the NUS Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2015, the NUS Business School Eminent Alumni Award in 2014 and most recently, the NUS Outstanding Service Award 2021.
Janet graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and is an alumni of the INSEAD International Directors Program. She is married to Mr Anthony Cheah Kia Heng and they have four daughters.

Mr Lim Swee Say is trustee and Adviser of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), Chairman of the NTUC-Administration & Research Unit Board of Trustees, board member of NTUC Enterprise Co-operative Ltd and Deputy Chairman of Singapore Labour Foundation. He is also Chairman of NTUC LearningHub and NCS Pte Ltd, board member of Temasek Foundation, and serves as Independent Director on several listed companies.

Willie Cheng is a former managing partner of Accenture. Since his retirement in 2003, he has been active in the business, public and social sectors as a board director, advisor and volunteer. He is a past Chairman and Honorary Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors, and has been on the boards of listed companies, private companies, cooperatives, statutory boards, government companies and nonprofit organisations.
